Getting There

  • Driving

    From Fort Payne, head north on AL-35. Turn right onto Little River Canyon Rim Parkway/AL-176. Continue for approximately 5 miles. Lynn Overlook will be on your right, marked with a brown National Park Service sign. The parking lot at Lynn Overlook has potholes and sharp rocks, so drive carefully. If the parking lot is full, additional parking is available further down AL-176 at the Beaver Pond Trailhead. Parking is free.

  • Walking

    From the Little River Canyon Center, head southeast on Little River Canyon Rim Parkway (Highway 176) for approximately 5 miles. Look for the Lynn Overlook sign on the right side of the road. Be aware that the Little River Canyon Rim Parkway has winding curves and hills. There is a gravel parking area available at the overlook. Additional parking is available further down Highway 176 at the Beaver Pond Trailhead. From the parking area, the overlook is a short walk.
