    If you're traveling by car, start your journey in Gjirokaster. Head north on the SH4 road. After about 30 kilometers, you will reach the town of Tepelena. From Tepelena, continue along the SH4 for another 15 kilometers until you reach the village of Iliras. Vjosa River is located at 9W84+3P, Iliras, Albania. You can park your car in the village and walk towards the river, which is easily accessible.

  • Public Transportation

    For those using public transportation, take a bus from Gjirokaster to Tepelena. Buses run frequently, and the fare is typically around 200 Lek (approximately $2). Once you arrive in Tepelena, you can catch a local minibus heading towards Iliras for about 100 Lek (approximately $1). Inform the driver that you wish to go to Iliras. After reaching Iliras, you will have to walk for about 1 kilometer to reach Vjosa River, following the signs or asking locals for directions.
