Walking
If you are starting from the center of Gjirokastër, head towards the main square (Sheshi Çameria). From the square, walk down the main street, Rruga Ismail Kadare. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rruga 19 Nëntori. Turn left onto Rruga 19 Nëntori. After about 500 meters, you will see signs for buses to Himarë. You can take a local bus from here.

Once you are at the bus station on Rruga 19 Nëntori, look for a bus heading to Himarë. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and the buses typically leave every hour. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they will be stopping at Himara Castle. Enjoy the scenic ride along the coast.

Walking
After arriving in Himarë, disembark at the bus stop in the town center. From there, head towards the coast and follow the signs for Himara Castle. The castle is situated on a hill, so you will need to walk uphill. Follow the road that leads to the castle, and enjoy the beautiful views along the way. The walk should take about 20-30 minutes.
