Getting There

• Walking

  From Gjirokastër Castle, walk down the hill towards the city center. As you reach the main road, turn left onto Rruga Kordhime and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rruga Ismail Kadare. Turn right onto Rruga Ismail Kadare and walk for about 200 meters. The Hangover Cocktail Bar will be on your left at number 8. Alternatively, if you are near the Bazaar area, head towards Rruga 28 Nëntori. Walk straight until you reach Rruga Ismail Kadare. Turn left and continue walking for about 400 meters. You will find Hangover Cocktail Bar on your left at number 8. Walking is free, but be prepared for steep, cobbled streets.

• Public Transport

  Gjirokaster has a public bus circuit that connects the historic center and the new town. From the main bus station, take a local bus towards the city center. Get off near Rruga Ismail Kadare and walk towards number 8. A single bus fare costs approximately 30 LEK. Note that private buses are prohibited from climbing the steep and narrow streets of the old town.

• Taxi

  Taxis are available in Gjirokaster at taxi stands near the River Bridge (Ura e Lumit) and along Bulevardi 18 Shtatori. A short taxi ride from the bus station or another location in the new town to Hangover Cocktail Bar in the old town will likely cost around 200-300 LEK. Always confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey. You can also use ride-hailing apps like VrapOn Taxi.

• Driving

  If driving, be aware that parking in the Old Town can be challenging. There is an underground parking garage near the Old Town that costs about €2 for 3 hours. From the parking garage, walk to Rruga Ismail Kadare and continue to number 8. Limited free parking may be available further up the hill, but the roads are steep and narrow. A three-story underground parking lot at Çerçiz Square is designed to provide parking for at least 300 vehicles.
