Getting There

    From Kukës, head southwest on the SH5 road for approximately 25 kilometers until you reach the village of Brekije. From there, follow the unpaved road for about 3 kilometers to the village center, the starting point of the hike. Note that the unpaved road can be rough, so a vehicle with high clearance is recommended. There are no tolls on this route.

    Take a bus from Kukës to the village of Brekije. Buses typically depart from the main bus station in Kukës. The fare is approximately 200 ALL (Albanian Lek), and the journey takes about 30 minutes. From the bus stop in Brekije, walk to the village center to begin the hike.

  • Walking

    From the center of Brekije village, the trail begins near a spring. Follow the path through the agricultural fields, then into the forest. The trail is generally well-marked but can be confusing in some sections, so it's advisable to have a map or GPS device. The hike to the summit takes approximately 7-8 hours.
