From Skopje, buses to Mavrovi Anovi are available. Check the Skopje bus station for the most up-to-date schedules. From Mavrovi Anovi, taxis or local transport can take you to other villages such as Mavrovo or Nikiforovo, or the Zare Lazarevski Ski Center. A taxi from Mavrovi Anovi to the ski center is approximately 8 km. Bus tickets from Skopje to Mavrovi Anovi cost approximately $9. A taxi from Mavrovi Anovi to the Zare Lazarevski Ski Center will cost extra.

Driving to Mavrovo from Skopje takes approximately 1.5 hours. Take the E65. The drive offers scenic views as you enter Mavrovo National Park. Be aware that roads to more remote villages may not be well-maintained. Parking is available near the ski resort and in the villages, but can be limited during peak season. There are no toll roads on the direct route.
