Walking
From the center of Krujë, most attractions, including Krujë Castle and the Old Bazaar, are within walking distance. The walk to the castle involves a gradual climb. Follow the cobblestone path leading uphill from the bazaar; allow about 15-20 minutes to reach the castle entrance. There are no entrance fees to enter the castle grounds, but museums within the castle charge a small fee.
Public Transport
If arriving in Krujë by bus from Tirana, the bus will drop you off along the main highway. From there, it's a short walk to the historic city center. To reach Krujë Castle and the Old Bazaar from the bus stop, walk towards the town center and follow the signs leading uphill. Local taxis are available if you prefer not to walk; agree on a fare before starting your journey. A short taxi ride to the castle should cost around 300-500 Lek.
Driving
If driving to Krujë, be aware that the road up to the city is narrow and winding with several switchbacks. Once in town, follow signs to the castle and bazaar. Parking is available near the Old Bazaar and the Castle. Parking costs approximately €5 for cars and €10 for campervans for up to 24 hours. Be prepared for narrow streets when driving near the historic center.
