Bogë, also known as Boga, is a picturesque village located in the northern Albanian Alps, within the Malësi e Madhe municipality. Historically, it was a bajrak (military-administrative unit) of the Kelmendi tribe. The village is divided into two neighborhoods: Preçaj and Kolaj.Bogë offers breathtaking scenery with rugged mountains, green valleys, and pristine alpine landscapes. It's a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts, providing opportunities for hiking and trekking. The village is often visited in conjunction with nearby Theth, as both are part of the Alps of Albania National Park.In 1908, Edith Durham, a renowned explorer, documented 75 Catholic families residing in Bogë. The village retains a strong sense of community and rich cultural heritage. Visitors can explore the local culture, enjoy traditional cuisine, and experience the warmth of Albanian hospitality. A notable landmark is the Kisha e Bogës (Church of Bogë), situated at 920m above sea level.
