    Getting There

    Public Transport

    To reach Qender Theth using public transport, start by taking a bus from Tirana to Shkodër. Buses leave regularly from the Regional Bus Terminal – North and South in Tirana and cost around 800 LEK per person. The journey takes approximately 2 hours. From Shkodër, a connecting minivan departs once daily at 7:00 AM to Theth. It's recommended to book in advance through your accommodation or at the bus station. The minivan ride costs around 1200 LEK (12 EUR) per person and takes about 2 hours. The minivan will drop you off in the valley center, in front of Jezerca Market.

    Taxi

    A taxi from Shkoder to Theth is a more direct but expensive option. The taxi ride takes approximately 2 hours and costs around 150 EUR. Taxis can be booked in advance through your hotel or guesthouse in either city. Negotiate the price if you want the same taxi to take you back to Shkoder.

    Driving

    Driving to Theth is possible with a regular car since the road was paved in 2021. The journey from Tirana takes about 3 hours via the new toll road. From Shkoder, the drive to Theth takes around 2 hours. Be aware that the road becomes narrow and winding after Shkoder. There are no tolls on the immediate final approach to Theth. Parking is generally available near guesthouses in the village. Expect to pay around 5 EUR per day for parking.
