Dajti Ekspres, the only cableway in Albania, is a must-do attraction near Tirana. Constructed in 2005 by an Austrian company, the 4.7 km cable car offers a unique perspective of the Albanian capital, connecting the city with the beautiful nature of Dajti Mountain National Park. The 15-minute ride takes you over treetops, past small farmhouses, and along mountain cliffs, revealing panoramic views of Tirana, the Adriatic Sea, and the Port of Durres on a clear day. The upper station provides a range of activities, including hiking, horseback riding, and winter skiing. At the mountain top, relax at the cliff-top restaurant, Ballkoni Dajtit, or enjoy a drink at the rotating bar in the Dajti Tower Belvedere Hotel. For recreation, there's mini-golf, an adventure park with obstacle courses and zip lines, and children's playgrounds. Explore the area to find hidden gems like the Couples Heart and a chicken coop. You can also visit Bunk'Art 1, a former communist-era bunker turned museum, located near the lower cable car station.
