    Skënduli House is located on Rruga Palorto in the old town of Gjirokastër. From Sheshi Çerçiz Topulli, the central square, walk northeast along Rruga Gjin Bue Shpata, then turn right onto Rruga Palorto. The house is a short walk from the Ethnographic Museum. Be prepared for steep, cobbled streets.

  • Public Transport

    Local buses connect the new town to Sheshi Çerçiz Topulli in the old town for a small fee (around 30 lek). From the square, follow the walking directions. Note that private buses are prohibited from driving on the narrow streets of the old town.

  • Taxi

    Taxis are readily available in Gjirokastër. A short taxi ride from the bus station or other locations in the city to Skënduli House should cost approximately 300-500 ALL. Confirm the price beforehand or ask the driver to use the meter.

It served as the original Ethnographic Museum during the communist era and has since been returned to the Skënduli family, who have preserved its original state with authentic objects.
