Car
If driving from Saranda, follow the SH99 towards Gjirokastra. The drive is approximately 30-45 minutes. Look for signs indicating the Blue Eye (Syri i Kaltër). The last 2 kilometers is on an unpaved road, but manageable. Parking is available at the entrance to the National Park for a fee: 300 lek for 0-3 hours. From the parking area, it's a 2-kilometer walk to the spring. Alternatively, you can take a small train or rent an electric scooter for an additional fee.
Public Transport
Take a bus from Saranda to Gjirokastra and ensure it passes by the Blue Eye (Syri i Kaltër). Bus tickets cost around 300-450 lek. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the Blue Eye. From the bus stop, there is approximately a 2-kilometer walk to the spring. KMG Tourist Shuttle also offers regular trips from Saranda to the Blue Eye for 1400 lek return.
Taxi
A taxi from Saranda to the Blue Eye costs approximately 3500-4000 lek for a round trip, including a 2-hour wait. Negotiate the price with the driver beforehand and confirm they accept cash payment. The taxi will drop you off at the parking area, from where you can walk 2 kilometers to the spring.
