    From Avenida 4 de Fevereiro in the city center, walk towards the north until you reach the intersection with Rua da Missão. Turn left onto Rua da Missão and continue straight until you see the Church of Our Lady of Remedies on your left. There are no tolls or specific access fees for walking.

The Church of Our Lady of Remedies, or Igreja de Nossa Senhora dos Remédios, is a prominent Roman Catholic cathedral located in the heart of Luanda, Angola. Its history stretches back to 1628, when it was first constructed. The church became the cathedral in 1716 when the Diocese of Angola and Congo moved its headquarters to Luanda. Over the centuries, the church has undergone significant changes. The original baroque facade, featuring three doors and triangular pediments, was ruined in 1877. It was then restored between 1880 and 1900, resulting in the single-bay style with three doors and a curved pediment seen today. The church's architectural style reflects a blend of traditional and contemporary elements, showcasing Angola's rich heritage. In 1949, the Church of Our Lady of Remedies was declared a Building of Public Interest, recognizing its cultural and historical importance.
