    From central Lubango, take the Estrada da Tundavala road. Drive approximately 30 kilometers (about 45 minutes), following the signs to Tundavala Gap. The road is well-marked, leading directly to a parking area near the viewpoint. Be aware that the final stretch involves winding roads, so drive carefully. There is no toll on this route. Parking is available near the viewpoint.

    To reach Tundavala Gap via public transportation, take a shared taxi (locally known as 'taxi colectivo') from the main taxi rank in Lubango towards Tundavala. The fare is typically around 500 Kwanza per person, and the journey takes approximately 1 hour. Inform the driver of your destination to be dropped off at the entrance to Tundavala Gap. From Serra da Leba, find a local bus or shared taxi (known as 'candongue') that travels towards Lubango. Make sure to confirm that the route includes Tundavala. Once you arrive at Lubango, you can catch a local taxi or a motorcycle taxi (known as 'mototaxi') to Tundavala Gap. The taxi ride will take about 15 minutes and should cost approximately 1,500 Kwanza. Ensure you have cash on hand as mobile payments might not be accepted.

This natural wonder marks the western edge of the Humpata Plateau and the Great Escarpment of Southern Africa, creating a stunning boundary between the Huíla and Namibe provinces. Rising to over 2,200 meters (7,200 ft), the rim of Tundavala Gap offers views that stretch across 10,000 km² (3,900 sq mi) towards Moçâmedes. The cliffs plunge dramatically about 1,000 meters (3,300 ft) to the plains below, providing a mesmerizing contrast between the rugged cliffs and verdant valleys. The name "Tundavala" comes from the Nyaneka word Ntandavala, meaning 'what was attached/shrunken and stretched', 'what is open/apart', 'the aperture', or 'the space left by two sides'. According to local history, the gap was used for killing prisoners during Angola's civil war. The Angolan government recognized the gap as a cultural landscape on August 21, 2012, and it is considered one of the 7 Natural Wonders of Angola.
