Car
From El Chaltén, drive south on Route 23 for 10km until the junction with Route 40. Turn left onto Route 40 and continue for 20km. Look for signs directing you to Laguna Milodón. The route leads directly to the parking area near the lagoon. Parking fees typically range around 200 ARS.
Public Transport
Take a bus from El Chaltén to the nearest bus stop to Laguna Milodón. Buses run several times a day, and tickets can be purchased at the local bus terminal. The journey takes about 30-45 minutes. Bus fare is around 300 ARS each way. From the bus stop, walk approximately 3 kilometers to Laguna Milodón, following the signs along the dirt path.
Walking
For an adventurous route, hike to Laguna Milodón from El Chaltén. Start from the town center, following the marked trails. The hike is approximately 8 kilometers one way and takes about 2-3 hours. This option is free, but requires preparation for changing weather conditions. Bring water and snacks.
