Getting There

  • Public Transport

    To reach Garganta del Diablo using public transport, begin at the entrance to Iguazu National Park in Argentina. Purchase your park entry ticket and then proceed to the Estación Central. From there, board the Tren Ecológico de la Selva, a free, gas-powered train that takes visitors to various points within the park, including a stop near the entrance to the Garganta del Diablo trail. The train ride to the Cataratas Station takes approximately 25 minutes. After alighting, follow the well-marked path, a metal walkway over the river, for about 1.2 km (0.75 miles) to reach the viewing platform at the Devil's Throat. The train is free with park admission.

  • Walking

    While you cannot walk directly from the park entrance to the Garganta del Diablo, walking is involved in the final approach. After taking the Tren Ecológico de la Selva to the Cataratas Station, there is a 1.2 km (0.75 miles) flat walk along a metal walkway over the Iguazu River to the viewing platform at the Devil's Throat. This walk offers stunning views of the surrounding river and smaller falls. Allow approximately 20-30 minutes for the walk. This is the only walking option to get to the falls.
