Driving to Laguna Esmeralda trailhead from Ushuaia takes about 20-25 minutes. Head southeast on Avenida Maipú, then turn left onto Route 3 (Ruta Nacional 3) and continue for approximately 8 km. Look for a sign at the entrance to the trailhead for Laguna Esmeralda. There is a parking area where you can leave your car. Parking is free.
