Driving
From Payson, take Highway 87 north towards Strawberry for approximately 10 miles. Turn east onto Houston Mesa Road and continue for about 6 miles. The parking lot for Shoofly Indian Ruins will be on your right, a short distance past the Mesa del Caballo subdivision. The site is well-marked with signs. Parking is free and plentiful.

While there is no direct public transportation to the Shoofly Indian Ruins, shuttle services are available from nearby cities such as Flagstaff and Phoenix to Payson. From Payson, you would need to rent a car or use a taxi/rideshare service to reach the ruins, which are located approximately 16 miles north of Payson. A shuttle from Phoenix to Payson is approximately $103.
