Driving
From Safford, to reach the west side of Gila Box Riparian National Conservation Area, travel 5 miles east on U.S. Highway 70 to Solomon. At Solomon, turn left onto the Sanchez Road and follow the road to the end of the pavement. From there, follow the signs to Bonita Creek and the lower end of the Gila Box. Be aware that the roads within the conservation area are gravel and dirt, and a four-wheel-drive vehicle may be necessary. There are no entrance fees for accessing the Gila Box Riparian National Conservation Area, but fees are charged for camping at the developed campgrounds.
