    From Safford, head north on Highway 191, continuing past the Three Way roundabout toward Clifton for approximately 5.5 miles. Turn left at the entrance to the Black Hills Backcountry Byway. Drive another 3.8 miles and turn right just before crossing the Old Safford Bridge. The picnic area will be on your right. There are no fees for parking or access to the picnic area.
