Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from a location within the Huachuca Mountains, head southeast on AZ-92 S. Continue on AZ-92 S for approximately 12 miles until you reach the junction with I-19. Merge onto I-19 S towards Nogales. After about 20 miles on I-19, take exit 12 for AZ-82 E towards Patagonia. Continue on AZ-82 E for about 12 miles. Look for signs leading to Patagonia Lake State Park. Turn left onto Patagonia Lake Rd and follow it for around 2 miles until you reach the park entrance at 400 Patagonia Lake Rd, Nogales, AZ 85621. Note that there is a parking fee of $7 per vehicle.

• Public Transportation

  If you are relying on public transportation, first check the local bus schedule for the Cochise County area, as public transport options may be limited. You can take a bus to Nogales from Sierra Vista or Tucson. Once you arrive in Nogales, you may need to use a rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft) or a local taxi to reach Patagonia Lake State Park, which is approximately 15 miles away from the Nogales bus station. Be prepared for the taxi or rideshare fare, which can vary but may range from $25 to $35.

• Bicycle

  For the adventurous, biking to Patagonia Lake State Park is an option. From the Huachuca Mountains, take the same route as driving. You can ride along AZ-92 S to I-19 S and then turn onto AZ-82 E. The total distance is approximately 30 miles, so ensure you have enough time and resources for the journey. Be aware of traffic, especially on the highways, and make sure to wear a helmet and have proper biking gear.
