Stay on the bus for approximately 45 minutes, and disembark at the stop at E Shea Blvd & N 100th St. From there, transfer to Bus Route 186 towards Scottsdale. Ride for about 20 minutes until you reach the stop at N Thompson Peak Pkwy & E Via Linda. The Gateway Trailhead will be a short walk from the bus stop, approximately 0.5 miles to the north along N Thompson Peak Pkwy.

Begin your journey by taking the Valley Metro Light Rail from any downtown Phoenix station. Ride the light rail towards the direction of Thunderbird Transit Center and get off at the last stop, which is the 19th Ave & Dunlap Ave station. From there, catch Bus Route 81 heading towards Scottsdale. After about 30 minutes, get off at E Shea Blvd & N 100th St. Switch to Bus Route 186 towards Scottsdale and ride for another 20 minutes to N Thompson Peak Pkwy & E Via Linda. The Gateway Trailhead will be a short walk (approximately 0.5 miles) to the north along N Thompson Peak Pkwy.
