If you are driving, start your journey on US-89. From Flagstaff, head north on US-89 for approximately 7 miles. Look for the signed entrance to the Fatman's Loop Trailhead on your right, shortly after you pass the turnoff for the Arizona Snowbowl ski area. Park in the designated parking area at the trailhead. Note that there is no fee for parking.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, you can take the Mountain Line bus service from downtown Flagstaff. Board the bus at the nearest stop and take Route 66, which heads toward the Arizona Snowbowl. Get off at the bus stop nearest to US-89 and walk approximately 0.5 miles north on US-89 to reach the Fatman's Loop Trailhead. Ensure you check the bus schedule ahead of time for route availability and times.
Walking
If you're already in the vicinity of the San Francisco Peaks but not at the trailhead, you can hike to the Fatman's Loop Trailhead from nearby trails or areas. Make sure you're equipped with a map and know the local trails, as the area can be rugged. Follow the signs leading toward the main trail, which will guide you to the entrance of Fatman's Loop.
