Walking
If you are starting from the Sedona Main Street area, head east on Main Street until you reach the intersection with SR 89A. Turn right onto SR 89A and continue for about 0.4 miles. You'll see a sign for the Bear Mountain Trailhead on your left. Follow the trailhead sign and walk along the road until you reach the parking area. From there, you can access the Bear Mountain trail.
Biking
For those with bicycles, start at the Sedona Community Center. Head south on Posse Ground Road until you reach the intersection with SR 89A. Turn left onto SR 89A and continue biking for about 1.5 miles. Look for the Bear Mountain Trailhead sign on your right side. Follow the dirt road leading to the parking area where the trail begins.
Public Transport
You can take the Verde Lynx public bus which operates in Sedona. Board the bus at the nearest stop along the Main Street route. Request to get off at the stop closest to the Bear Mountain Trailhead. From the bus stop, follow the signs leading to the Bear Mountain trail, which is approximately a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.
