After approximately 15 minutes, disembark at the stop near 28th St. Proceed south on 28th St for about 0.2 miles until you spot the Ruth Armstrong Nature Area sign on your right. A single ride on the Fort Smith Transit bus costs $1.25.

    To reach the nature area by foot, start at the Fort Smith Convention Center at 55 S 7th St. Head south on 7th St towards Garrison Ave for 0.3 miles until you reach Rogers Ave. Turn left onto Rogers Ave and walk for 0.4 miles. Turn right onto 28th St and walk for approximately 0.2 miles. The entrance to Ruth Armstrong Nature Area will be on your left.
