Getting There

From the center of Alaverdi, head north on the main road (Tigran Mets Street). Continue walking for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with the road leading to Akhtala. Turn right onto this road and follow it for approximately 3 kilometers. You will pass by several local shops and houses along the way. Keep an eye out for the signs pointing to Akhtala Monastery Fortress. After about 15-20 minutes of walking, you will see the fortress on your left as you approach the village of Akhtala.
