Getting There

Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest major town, which is Garni. Drive east from Garni on the M4 highway towards Geghard. After approximately 15 km, take the exit towards the Aghjots Monastery. Follow the signs and take the serpentine road uphill. The road can be rocky and uneven, so a vehicle with good clearance is recommended. Continue on this road for about 5 km until you reach the parking area near the monastery. Be aware that parking may be limited, and you might need to walk a short distance to the monastery itself.

Public Transportation
For those using public transport, take a minibus (marshrutka) from Yerevan to Garni. The journey takes about 1 hour and costs approximately 300 AMD. Once you arrive in Garni, you can either take a taxi or find a local guide who can take you to Aghjots Monastery. The taxi ride will cost around 1000-1500 AMD. Be sure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey. The drive from Garni to the monastery will take around 20 minutes.
