Walking
If you are starting from Gyumri's city center, head towards the famous Vardanants Square. From there, walk north on Gayi Street until you reach the intersection with S. Shahumyan Street. Turn right on S. Shahumyan Street and continue straight for about 10 minutes. You'll pass by local shops and cafes. As you approach the end of the street, you will see Independence Square on your left, marked by a beautiful open area and historical buildings.

If you are near the Gyumri Railway Station, exit the station and head east towards Gayi Street. Turn left on Gayi Street and continue for about 20 minutes. You will cross the intersection with S. Shahumyan Street. Continue straight and soon you will arrive at Independence Square, where you can enjoy the vibrant atmosphere and take in the historical landmarks.

From the Gyumri Art Museum, exit the museum and head south on Tigran Mets Avenue. Continue walking for about 15 minutes until you reach the intersection with S. Shahumyan Street. Turn left onto S. Shahumyan Street and walk straight for another 5 minutes. Independence Square will be on your left, a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
