If driving from Mount Aragats, head south towards Hankavan. Follow the road from the M1 highway towards Hankavan, using GPS coordinates 40.6347411 latitude and 44.4859782 longitude. There are no entry fees to access Hankavan Dzor.
Public Transport
To reach Hankavan by public transport, take a minibus from Yerevan to Ashtarak from Kilikia Bus Station; the fare is about 300 AMD. Then, catch another marshrutka to Hankavan for approximately 200 AMD. Alternatively, take a bus from Yerevan to Hankavan from the central bus station for around 1,000 AMD; the journey takes 1.5 to 2 hours.
Taxi
For a direct route, take a taxi from Mount Aragats to Hankavan. Arrange a taxi through local services or ride-hailing apps. Expect to pay around 2,500-4,000 AMD for a one-way trip, lasting about 30 minutes.
