Getting There

Car
From the center of Mount Aragats, head south on the main road towards the village of Byurakan. Continue on this road for approximately 15 km until you reach the turnoff to the Lake Umroy area. Look for the signs pointing towards Lake Umroy (G7C6+3VV). Turn left and follow the dirt road for about 5 km. The road may be bumpy, so drive carefully. You will reach Lake Umroy, which is a beautiful hiking area surrounded by stunning landscapes.

Public Transportation
First, take a marshrutka (minibus) from Yerevan to the village of Byurakan. Marshrutkas depart regularly from the central bus station in Yerevan. The fare is approximately 400 AMD ($1 USD). Once you arrive in Byurakan, you will need to hire a taxi to take you to Lake Umroy. Negotiate the fare with the driver beforehand; it should be around 2000 AMD ($5 USD) for the trip.
