Getting There

Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Gyumri, the capital of Shirak province. Head southeast on Vardanants Street, which will lead you onto the M1 highway. Follow the M1 highway for approximately 25 kilometers until you reach the turnoff for Lake Kari, which is well-signposted. Turn left onto the road leading towards the lake and continue for about 7 kilometers. The road may be a bit rough, so drive carefully. Once you arrive at Lake Kari, you will find parking available nearby.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take a marshrutka (shared minibus) from Gyumri to the village of Artik. Marshrutkas depart frequently from the central bus station in Gyumri. The ride to Artik takes about 30-40 minutes and costs around 300-500 AMD. Once you arrive in Artik, you will need to hire a taxi to take you to Lake Kari, which is approximately 10 kilometers away. The taxi fare should be around 1500-2000 AMD, depending on negotiation.
