Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, start from Atherton (the main town in the Atherton Tablelands). Head south on the Kennedy Highway (State Route 1) towards the town of Yungaburra. After approximately 15 kilometers, take a right turn onto Chewko Road. Continue on Chewko Road for about 7 kilometers until you reach Paglietta Road. Turn left onto Paglietta Road, and after about 1 kilometer, you will see the entrance to Granite Creek Gorge Wallabies on your left at 332 Paglietta Rd, Chewko QLD 4880.

  • Public Transportation

    For those using public transportation, you can take a bus from Atherton to Yungaburra. Once in Yungaburra, you'll need to arrange a taxi to take you to Granite Creek Gorge Wallabies, as public transport does not extend all the way there. The taxi ride from Yungaburra to the wallabies will take approximately 15-20 minutes and cost around AUD 30-40, depending on the taxi service.
