Car
From Atherton, head south on Main Street towards the Kennedy Highway. Turn right onto the Kennedy Highway (State Route 1) and continue on this road for about 15 kilometers. Look for signs for Gadgarra and turn right onto Gadgarra Road. Follow Gadgarra Road for approximately 6 kilometers. Heales Lookout will be on your left. There is no entry fee.
Public Transportation
Take a bus from Atherton to Cairns via the Tablelands Connection services. Get off at the Gadgarra stop (check local schedules for timings). From there, you will need to walk approximately 3 kilometers along Gadgarra Road to reach Heales Lookout. Be sure to check the bus schedules, as they may vary.
