    From Blackheath, follow the signs to Shipley Road. Continue on Shipley Road for approximately 7.5 km. The last few kilometers are unsealed but suitable for most vehicles. Parking is available at the lookout. Parking is free.

  • Public Transport

    Take a train from Sydney to Lithgow Station. From Lithgow Station, take a bus to Blackheath. From Blackheath, arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to Hargraves Lookout, as public transport directly to the lookout is limited. Taxi/rideshare from Blackheath to Hargraves Lookout is approximately $25-$40.

  • Walking

    For a more adventurous route, walk from Blackheath town center to Hargraves Lookout. The walk is approximately 6 km and takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Head towards Shipley Road and follow it until you reach the lookout. Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water, as the trail can be steep in sections.
