Getting There

  • Driving

    From Blackheath, turn off the Great Western Highway onto Hat Hill Road. Continue along Hat Hill Road towards Perrys Lookdown. Turn right onto Pulpit Rock Road and follow the signs to the lookout. The lookout is a short 400m walk from the car park. Parking is available at the lookout. Note that the road to the lookout is partly unsealed and can become boggy after rain. Parking is free.

  • Public Transport

    From Blackheath Station, catch the 695 bus towards Pulpit Rock Lookout. This bus service operates only on weekends and public holidays, so check the schedule in advance. The bus will drop you off at the Pulpit Rock track entrance. From there, it's a short 1.5 km walk to the lookout. A single fare on the bus is around $2.80 AUD [Note: This cost is an estimate and may vary]. Alternatively, from Govetts Leap Lookout, you can hike to Pulpit Rock Lookout along the Pulpit Rock Track, a distance of 7.6km return.
