Getting There

• Bus

  From the Brisbane CBD, head to the nearest bus stop. You can catch the bus number 199, which travels towards South Brisbane. Stay on the bus for approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the 'Cultural Centre' stop, which is the closest to the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC). From the bus stop, it’s just a short 5-minute walk—head across the pedestrian bridge towards the South Bank Parklands, and follow the signs to QPAC.

• Train

  If you're near a train station, take the Brisbane Citytrain to the South Brisbane station. This is a direct route from various locations in the city. Upon arriving at South Brisbane station, exit the station and walk towards the Cultural Centre. It’s about a 10-minute walk. Head towards Melbourne Street, and you will see the Queensland Performing Arts Centre ahead.

• Ferry

  If you prefer to travel by ferry, head to the nearest CityCat terminal. Board a CityCat ferry heading towards the 'University of Queensland' or 'Northshore Hamilton' route. Get off at the 'South Bank' terminal. Once you disembark, walk towards the river and follow the paths leading to the Queensland Performing Arts Centre, which is around a 10-minute walk from the terminal, passing through the South Bank Parklands.

• Walking

  If you are already in the South Bank area, walking to QPAC is a great option. From South Bank Parklands, follow the riverfront path towards the Cultural Centre. You will see the iconic QPAC building as you approach. This walk takes approximately 10 minutes and provides beautiful views of the Brisbane River.

• Bike

  For those who enjoy cycling, Brisbane has bike rental stations throughout the city. Rent a bike and ride towards South Bank. There are dedicated bike paths leading directly to the Cultural Precinct. Once you arrive, you can securely lock your bike at the bike racks available near QPAC. The ride from the CBD to QPAC will take around 15-20 minutes.
