Starting from the Cairns Esplanade, head north on Abbott Street towards the intersection with Shields Street. Continue straight until you reach the main intersection of Shields Street and McLeod Street. Here, turn left onto McLeod Street and continue walking until you reach the bus stop on the corner of McLeod Street and Collins Avenue. Board Bus 123 or Bus 124 towards Whitfield. Stay on the bus for approximately 15 minutes, and get off at the stop at Collins Avenue near the intersection with Duffy Street. From there, walk up Collins Avenue towards the Red Arrow Circuit. Follow the signs for the Red Arrow Circuit Lookout, which will be a short uphill walk from the bus stop.

If you prefer to cycle, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops on the Cairns Esplanade. Once you have your bike, head onto the Esplanade Path and cycle north towards the Cairns Botanic Gardens. From the Botanic Gardens, continue up Collins Avenue.
