From Canberra City Centre, take the ACTION bus service. Catch Bus 300 or 301 towards Gungahlin and alight at the 'Gold Creek' stop. From there, it's a short 10-minute walk east on Gold Creek Rd to the museum entrance. A single bus trip typically costs around AUD 4.00.

The National Dinosaur Museum is located at 6 Gold Creek Rd, Nicholls ACT 2913. From Canberra city center, take National Circuit and follow signs for the Federal Highway. Merge onto the Federal Highway, then take the exit towards Gungahlin Drive. Continue onto Gungahlin Drive and follow the signs to Nicholls. Turn onto Gold Creek Rd, and the museum will be on your left. Free parking is available on-site.

The National Dinosaur Museum, established in 1993, is located in Gold Creek Village, Canberra, and houses Australia's largest permanent display of prehistoric specimens. The museum offers an interactive insight into Earth's dynamic history, showcasing over 150 dinosaur models, 23 complete skeletons, and over 300 individual fossil displays. The museum takes visitors on a journey through the evolution of life, with a focus on dinosaurs, and features indoor and outdoor exhibits. See life-size replica dinosaur models, real and replica skeletons, fossils, crystals, and meteorites. The Dinosaur Garden features life-sized models in a landscaped setting, offering photo opportunities and an immersive experience. Interactive displays include a Dino Dig, touch tables with real fossils, and augmented reality stations.The museum is based around the school curriculum and caters for guided tours, birthday parties, and events. The gift shop offers a range of prehistoric-themed gifts, fossils, crystals, and educational materials. The museum has been recognized for its excellence in tourism, winning the Tourist Attractions category at the Canberra Region Tourism Awards in 2023 and 2024.
