Walking
If you are in the city center, start at the Canberra Centre. Head south on Bunda Street, then turn right onto Akuna Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Northbourne Avenue. Cross Northbourne Avenue and continue onto the pedestrian path along the Ainslie Avenue. After about 1.5 km, turn left onto the path that leads to the Australian National Botanic Gardens. Follow the signs to the Gardens, which will lead you to the National Rock Garden located nearby. The walk should take approximately 30-40 minutes.

From the city center, take the ACTION bus route 2 or 3 from the Canberra Centre bus stop. Ensure to check the bus schedule as it varies. Get off at the bus stop for the Australian National Botanic Gardens. From there, it's a short 10-minute walk. Head south towards the Botanic Gardens entrance, and follow the signs to the National Rock Garden, which is adjacent to the gardens.
