Walking
From the Kingston Foreshore, head southeast along the waterfront towards the end of the boardwalk. Continue walking on the path that leads to the east side of Lake Burley Griffin. You'll pass by various cafes and parks along the way. Once you reach the intersection with Trevillian Quays, turn left and follow the path until you reach the bridge that crosses over to the other side of the lake. After crossing the bridge, keep walking straight until you see the signs for Barrine Drive. Turn right onto Barrine Drive and continue walking until you see the Captain Cook Memorial Globe on your left.

Bus
If you prefer not to walk, you can take a bus from Kingston. Head to the nearest bus stop on Canberra Avenue. Catch Bus Route 2 (or any bus heading towards Parkes) and get off at the Parkes Way stop. From there, it's a short walk to Barrine Drive. Head northwest on Parkes Way, then turn right onto Barrine Drive, and you will find the Captain Cook Memorial Globe just a short distance ahead. Please note that a single bus fare costs around AUD 4.00.

If you're comfortable cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing services available in Kingston. Start from the Kingston Foreshore and follow the lakeside bike path heading east. This path will take you along Lake Burley Griffin, offering beautiful views. Keep an eye out for the signs directing you towards Barrine Drive. Once you reach the intersection with Parkes Way, take a right, and then another right onto Barrine Drive. The Captain Cook Memorial Globe will be on your left side. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow cycling regulations.
