Central Coast Wetlands - Pioneer Dairy: A Natural and Historical Haven

Central Coast Wetlands - Pioneer Dairy, located between Wyong and Tuggerah, is a unique destination offering a blend of natural beauty and historical significance. This 155-hectare reserve, formerly the site of a large dairy farm established in 1897, has been transformed into a thriving wetland and bushland habitat. The area is home to over 200 species of birds, making it a premier birdwatching spot. The wetlands also provide a habitat for other native animals, such as vulnerable Squirrel Gliders. The site also features heritage-listed buildings, including the Dairy Cottage, one of the oldest homesteads in the Wyong area, which was beautifully renovated in 2009.
