Degraves Street: A Melbourne Culinary Haven

Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, head towards Melbourne's CBD. Use major roads such as the Western Freeway or the Tullamarine Freeway to connect to the city. Once in the CBD, look for signs directing you to Flinders Street. Degraves Street is located just off Flinders Lane, near Flinders Street Station. Parking is available in nearby commercial parking lots, but expect to pay around AUD 15-25 for a few hours.

• Public Transportation - Train

  If you're using public transport, take a train to Flinders Street Station, which is the closest station to Degraves Street. Trains run frequently from various suburbs. Once you arrive at Flinders Street Station, exit the station and head towards Flinders Lane. Degraves Street is located just a short walk away, approximately 5 minutes from the station.

• Public Transportation - Tram

  You can also take a tram to reach Degraves Street. Board any tram that heads towards the city, such as the City Circle Tram (route 35) or trams on routes 1, 3, 5, 6, 8, 16, and 64. Disembark at the Flinders Street/Elizabeth Street stop. From there, walk towards Flinders Lane and follow it to Degraves Street, which is just a few minutes away. Note that a Myki card is required for tram travel, and be sure to load it with enough balance (AUD 6 for a card plus travel costs).

• Walking

  If you're already in the Central West area, consider walking to Degraves Street. Depending on your starting point, you can navigate through the city streets. Look for Flinders Street as a reference point, and follow the signs towards Flinders Lane. Degraves Street is a well-known area with vibrant cafes and shops, making it a pleasant walk. Ensure you have a map or GPS for precise directions.
