If you're travelling by car, head towards Bathurst, which is approximately 200 km west of Sydney along the Great Western Highway (M4). Once in Bathurst, follow the signs to the city center. When you reach Bathurst, turn onto Russell Street, and drive until you reach 321 Russell St, the location of Miss Traill's House. There is street parking available nearby, but check for any parking restrictions.
Public Transportation
For those using public transport, take a train from Sydney to Bathurst via NSW TrainLink. The journey takes around 3 hours. Once you arrive at Bathurst Station, you can catch a local bus (Bus Route 1 or 2) towards the city center or opt for a taxi. Inform the driver or check the bus schedule to ensure you get off at Russell Street. Walk approximately 300 meters from the bus stop to reach Miss Traill's House at 321 Russell St.
Walking
If you happen to be staying in the Bathurst city center, Miss Traill's House is within walking distance. From the Bathurst Visitor Information Centre, head southwest on William Street, then turn left onto Russell Street. Continue walking until you reach 321 Russell St. It's a leisurely walk of approximately 1 km, taking around 15 minutes.
