Getting There

  • Walking

    The Bullawah Cultural Trail is located along the Ovens River in Wangaratta. From the Wangaratta Visitor Information Centre, head east on Murphy Street, then turn left onto Ovens Street. Continue onto Wangaratta Road, then turn left onto Tone Close. The trail begins at Apex Park, where you'll find the Marmungun Rock. The walk to the start of the trail is approximately 15 minutes. No costs are associated with walking to the trail.

    The Bullawah Cultural Trail can be accessed by public transport. From the Wangaratta train station, take bus route 1 towards Yarrawonga and alight at the closest bus stop on Appin Street. From there, walk along Appin Street towards the Ovens river until you arrive at Apex Park and the start of the trail. The bus trip is approximately 5 minutes, and the walk is approximately 10 minutes. A single adult bus fare is around $3.
