Getting There

• Tram

  From the Melbourne CBD, head to any tram stop and catch a tram on the City Circle route (trams 35, 70, or 75) or tram 1 towards North Carlton. Get off at the 'Victoria Street' stop. Walk north along Victoria Street until you reach Carlton Street. Turn right onto Carlton Street, and you will see Carlton Gardens on your left.

• Train

  Take any train from Flinders Street Station towards the northern suburbs (for example, the Upfield or Craigieburn line). Get off at the 'Jewell' Station. Exit the station and walk east on Bell Street until you reach the intersection with Lygon Street. Turn left onto Lygon Street and walk south until you reach Carlton Street. Turn right onto Carlton Street, and Carlton Gardens will be on your left.

• Bus

  From the CBD, catch a bus from one of the bus terminals such as the Southern Cross Station or the Queen Victoria Market. Board a bus heading towards North Carlton (check the bus routes for options like routes 250 or 251). Get off at the 'Carlton Gardens' stop. From there, walk south on Carlton Street, and you will see the entrance to Carlton Gardens.

• Walking

  If you are near the Melbourne Museum, simply walk south along Rathdowne Street. Continue until you reach Carlton Street, then turn left. Walk until you reach the entrance of Carlton Gardens. This is a pleasant walk that will take you through the beautiful streets of Carlton.
