If you are driving in Mount Wellington, start by heading towards the East Derwent Highway (A3). Follow the signs for Bellerive. Once you reach Bellerive, turn onto Gunning Street. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer, and you will find the Kangaroo Bluff Battery Historic Site located at 20 Gunning St, Bellerive. Look for the large parking area near the site.

To reach Kangaroo Bluff Battery Historic Site using public transportation, take the Metro Tasmania bus route 601 or 685 from the Hobart city center. Get off at the Bellerive stop on Cambridge Road.
