Starting from the center of Mount Wellington, head southeast on Huon Road (A6) for about 7 kilometers. Turn left onto Wellington Park Road, which will lead you into the Wellington Park area. Follow the signs for Mount Montague as you drive along the winding roads. There are parking areas available near the trailheads leading to the peak. Note that parking may incur a fee, so have some cash or a card ready.

If you are using public transportation, catch the Metro Tasmania bus route 446 from the Hobart city center towards South Arm. Get off at the Wellington Park bus stop (make sure to check the schedule for the specific stop).
