Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, start from Armidale, which is approximately 75 km away from Oxley Wild Rivers National Park. Take the New England Highway (A43) south towards Uralla. Continue on the A43 for about 27 km until you reach the intersection with Thunderbolts Way (B56). Turn left onto Thunderbolts Way and continue for about 30 km. Look for signs directing you to Oxley Wild Rivers National Park. You'll be taking Youdales W Trail to enter the park. Ensure your vehicle has enough fuel, as the park is remote, and there are limited services nearby.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transport, you can take a bus from Armidale to Walcha. Buses run regularly, and the journey takes about 1.5 hours. Once in Walcha, you will need to arrange a taxi or rideshare service to reach Oxley Wild Rivers National Park, which is about 35 km away. Be sure to check the bus schedules ahead of time, as service may be limited, and the taxi fare could be approximately AUD 60-90 depending on the service.

• Walking

  Once you arrive at the park entrance on Youdales W Trail, you can explore the park on foot. There are various walking trails available that vary in difficulty.
