Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Townsville, which is about 110 kilometers away from Arthur Bay Lookout. Take the Bruce Highway (A1) north and then turn onto the Flinders Highway (A6) towards Ayr. Continue on the Flinders Highway until you reach the fork where it intersects with the Herbert River. Take the left exit onto the Haughton River Road. Follow the signs for Magnetic Island Ferry Terminal. Park your car at the ferry terminal. The ferry to Magnetic Island costs approximately AUD 30 for a return trip.
Ferry
Once you arrive at Magnetic Island, you can either walk or take a local bus to reach Florence Bay. The bus service runs regularly and costs about AUD 7 for a one-way trip. Get off at the Florence Bay stop, which is a short walk to the lookout.
Walking
From the Florence Bay bus stop, follow the marked trail towards Arthur Bay Lookout. The hike is approximately 1 kilometer and takes around 20-30 minutes. The path is well-maintained and offers beautiful views along the way.
