From Port Douglas, head to the nearest bus stop located on Macrossan Street. Take the 'Shuttle Bus to Mossman Gorge' which operates regularly throughout the day. The total distance is approximately 30 kilometers, so plan for a leisurely ride with breaks along the way.

For those who enjoy walking, start at the Port Douglas Information Centre on Macrossan Street. Head north along the coast until you reach the Four Mile Beach. Continue walking along the beach until you reach the end, then follow the path leading to the Mossman-Daintree Road. From there, you may need to walk along the road towards the Gondwana Rain Forest, which is about 30 kilometers away, so be prepared for a long trek, and consider breaking it up over two days with an overnight stay in a nearby accommodation.
